Letter from the Executive Director:
I would like to share with you a recent Facebook posting by a wish mom about her child's wish. "We were so blessed to have Make-A-Wish enter our lives. Natalia got to remember what it was like to be a kid again. As a family, we had a huge weight lifted off our chests for a little while and when we returned were able to continue the battle with 10 times the strength. We truly believe the trip enabled Natalia to carry on for the next 8 months."
I marvel at the magic and goodness that can come from granting a wish for a child facing a life-threatening illness. We could not have granted wishes for 107 children from the Central Valley last year without the continued loyal support of our individual donors, corporate donors and volunteers. Because of you all we have been able to continue our mission of granting wishes to the brave kids who need it the most.
We are very proud to share with you that our local chapter has once again received a Mission Performance Award, a Fundraising Performance Award, and an overall Chapter Performance Award this year from our National organization. These awards recognize our continued commitment to our mission.
The courageous children and families we serve are why we do what we do and it is with the most sincere gratitude that I thank each and every one of you for your generous support of our mission.
Make-A-Wish Central California Executive Director
