As long standing supporters of Make-A-Wish, Arise Solar is proud to continue its efforts in helping the local chapter with donations acquired during its 5th Annual Golf For A Wish Tournament, that was hosted at Sunnyside Country Club on May 11, 2015.
The funds raised will be used to grant Jackson, a local child with Burkitt’s Lymphoma, whose wish is to meet Derek Jeter. All donations were acquired through the help of local businesses and individuals who helped sponsor the tournament, along with the generosity of the players who bid on raffle prizes and offered additional donations.
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to help enrich their lives with hope. Which is why, “Arise Solar is honored to share in the joy of providing once in a life time wishes to children who would not otherwise be able to experience such an event. We would like thank those that participates in our annual Golf For A Wish tournament; from the volunteers who man the tables and greens, to the vendors who donate unselfishly, and especially to the players and business owners who get to witness giving first hand. ” as stated by CEO, Glenn Siemens.
The event witnessed a moving conclusion as Jackson, took stage during the awards ceremony to thank participants and donors alike for their contribution and support of his wish. Not a dry eye could been seen among the crowd when witnessing the strength and gratitude of the local child whose wish they were able to help grant.
