Every child has a wish; some of them dream of a new toy, while others want to go to Disneyland… What is important is the amount of happiness and excitement that a child gets once his/her dream is realized. For 7-year-old Max, who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a wish was an opportunity to fulfill a desire he had been dreaming about for over 16 months while battling cancer.
January 8th 2012 was one of the happiest days in Max’s life. After watching his favorite show “Myth Busters”, Max knew he wanted to blow something up. With the help of both Advanced Explosives Demolition and Make-A-Wish Central California the boy’s dream was fulfilled.
Max did a perfect job demolishing the seven-story grain warehouse and contiguous 11-story building. For Max it was not just an implosion, the kiddo was celebrating his “victory” over cancer.
In a letter to Make-A-Wish from his parents “…the Make-A-Wish Foundation made tough times much brighter and gave Max the hope of being able to do fun and amazing things again!” For Max it was special experience; it was a day when a dream of his lifetime was realized. It was just an implosion, but it brought a huge amount of happiness to a little boy."
Every part of that day was very exciting for Max; he enjoyed every single moment of his trip. Max’s childhood dream was realized, and hopefully his adult dream will also become true and one day he will become a surgeon. Make-A-Wish Foundation gives a chance to such kids as Max to get an amazing experience.
